Powder Coating

Powder coating is a process used by many to change the color of wheels, body panels, and trim pieces through applying a colored powder onto a surface.

It's a cool way to switch up your car's looks, but how does it actually work?Unlike a regular paint process, powder coating relies on an electric charge to ensure the powder sticks to a surface, rather than any kind of adhesive.

A specially designed spray gun ionizes the powder as it's being applied, allowing it to naturally stick to the nearest surface. After the surface have been coated, it is baked at around 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes, and boom, you've got yourself a newly colored surface.
